In CamRemote, tap Pair Camera. The app shows the exact steps for each maker. 3. Shoot. The app reconnects automatically whenever the camera is on. ## FAQ ### Which cameras does CamRemote work with? Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm and Ricoh cameras that support each maker's own Bluetooth remote. Canon EOS R50 and R6 Mark II, Nikon Z6 III and Fujifilm X-T4 and X-T5 are field tested; Sony and Ricoh support is early. ### Does it work with the Nikon Z8 or Z9? No. The Z8 and Z9 have no wireless-remote (ML-L7) support, which is what CamRemote uses. Nikon bodies with a wireless-remote option in the Network menu work, such as the Z30, Z5, Z50, Z6 II and III, Z7 II, Zf and Zfc. ### Is CamRemote free? Yes. CamRemote is free on iPhone and Android and is supported by ads. You choose which ad partners you consent to. ### Does CamRemote need Wi-Fi? No. Shooting works over Bluetooth alone. Wi-Fi is only used for the optional Canon Wi-Fi mode (live view and photo downloads) on Canon cameras where Canon has enabled CCAPI. ### Where does my location go when location tagging is on? Only to the connected camera, so it can tag your photos. Location tagging is off until you turn it on, and works with Fujifilm, Sony and Ricoh cameras. ### Can it take long exposures? Yes. Bulb mode holds the shutter open for a time you choose, from one second to an hour, on Canon, Sony and Fujifilm cameras set to Bulb (B). ### Which phones are supported? iPhone with iOS 16.2 or later, and Android 8.0 or later with Bluetooth Low Energy. ## Notes Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm and Ricoh are trademarks of their respective owners.
